Maruti Suzuki the larger car manufacturer in India has recorded new milestone. It has recently rolled out its 10-millionth car - a Maruti WagonR from its Gurgaon plant. This is the first time in the history of car industry to roll out 10 million cars. The Company had a plan to celebrate the occasion grandly, but canceled due to massive earth quake and Tsunami in Japan on March 11, 2011.
Speaking on the historical achievement Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki Mr. Shinzo Nakanishi said ''As we reach this historic landmark, we thank our founding partners who laid a solid foundation of values and practices.'' He said that the company had picked up momentum recent years and rolled out around 5 million units over the last six years.
Maruti Suzuki has got Rs30, 119.7 crore revenue in 2009-10 which shows their success around the globe. The Company is currently selling 13 passenger cars in Indian market.
