Ferrari plans to step in India

Ferrari needs no introduction, the Italian brand is well known around the globe for its luxury sports cars. The company is now intending to enter Indian market. The first showroom will start in Delhi shortly followed by Mumbai in the second half of this year. The Company has made an official agreement with India's Shreyans group to import and sell these cars in India. The price of these cars starts with 2.27 crores and goes up to 3.37 crores.

Speaking on this Chairman of Shreyans Group Mr. Ashish Chordia said "We will be looking at pan India presence in the long term, but initial sales will begin only in Delhi and Mumbai. We would be incurring an expenditure of $27 million for establishing dealers and service network in India. We don't have any sales projection for the Indian market, but are looking at gaining leadership position in the sports car segment." The Ferrari will compete with sports cars like Lamborghini in India.
