General Motors to launch six new cars in India

General Motors is the world’s second largest car manufacturer. It is planning to launch 14 models of six new models. It has seen a huge success by its Chevrolet brand. According to credible sources this plan will be executed within two years.

Karl Slym President and Managing Director of General Motors said "Our Chevrolet brand is doing extremely well as every 8 seconds somebody buys our cars. This is a good indicator and India is a growing market with the demand for luxury cars growing… we are looking at introducing our premium brand, Cadillac over the next couple of years."

He added “We will launch 14 variants of six new models in the next 24 months. Among the six, two will be commercial vehicles, which will be launched next year. The other models will be SUV and sedan, among others.”

The company is also planning to launch a small Chevrolet electrical car in April. It will be manufactured at Company’s Bangalore plant. It is targeting to sell 2-3 lakh cars in the upcoming years.
